This is my Urban Decay Project. I photographed these pictures mostly around lock three in downtown Akron.  I very much appreciate the beauty in run down buildings and rusted wires. As I photographed these pictures I pictured what these buildings looked like when they were first built and how they thrived. I thought of how well appreciated these buildings were at one time and now they are abandoned. I still see beauty in these buildings. The theme of my project is that there is beauty in everything. People pass through lock three and surrounding areas everday and I can almost guarantee that people have never appreciated those buildings and viewed theme as beautiful as I did during that day. The objects that I photographed are ordinary things that have just become old as years press on and now they are viewed as not worthy and have been replaced with something new and better. The song I chose for this project was The Ends Not Near by Band of Horses. because overtime these buildings have been replaced with something that is more fit than they are, and their time being useful has ended. All they are now is urban decay!
