third quarter game plan!

The first project I plan on doing this quarter is Motion Blur. I think that the concept is pretty neat. I plan on taking pictures of street lights, concert lights, car lights, etc! Anything involving lights! I am drawn to this project because I have always taken pictures that would be considered "motion blur" and deleted them. I had never seen the beauty in them before and now I am realizing even "accidents" are beautiful.

Another project I plan on accomplishing this quarter is Portrait Photography. My general plan for this is photographing important people in my life in situations that describes the person they are on the inside. I want the viewers of my photographs to be able to tell when looking at my pictures who the subject of the photograph is, without knowing them at all.

Downtown Akron is filled with run down buildings and decay. It is filled with places that once were, but are not anymore. This project interests me because it is making beauty out of something that is non traditional. One of the things I like about this class is that we are making things that you wouldn't think twice about, beautiful. The run down factories, office buildings, and homes are filled with history as well as  something with artistic appeal.  I plan on walking the streets of downtown Akron with my camera. I want to make the history and beauty of the place we live come alive!

Depth of Field is where there is one focal point of a photograph, but there is something that is going on in the background that captures the eye of the viewer and makes them curious. This is something that I think I can be very creative with and I am excited to start taking these pictures. I don't know where or of what I will take them of yet. I think by going out and beginning taking pictures I will find some creativity and ideas. I think I will take them in all different locations! I am very excited for this class!
